I recently read a book called Lunatic Express and giggled when I saw that a boat trip from Bangladesh is the most dangerous boat trip in the world.

Make sure that any humanitarian aid you wish to provide is channelled through an established humanitarian organisation registered with the Bangladeshi authorities. If you go to an office in Dhaka or Khulna and you cannot find an agent, it means that you have to go and contact them yourself.

I recommend Bagerhat for a day trip to Khulna, as there is not much accommodation there. I also strongly recommended to hire a guide for your day in Bandarban to visit the villages and take you on a boat trip down the Shangu River.

If you have more time, you can also take a rickshaw to Khan Jahan Ali Mazar, where you will find a well-fed crocodile. Bebe is one of the few places on this continent where you can spot crocodiles on the banks of the river.

If you are looking for a very warm time to visit Khulna, the hottest months are May, June and then April. The perceived temperature is matched with humidity and wind chill to better show how hot or cold a day feels in person.

Bangladesh is not the most popular destination, but those who venture there will be rewarded with a beautiful culture and hospitable people. Although Bangladesh is a poor country, people welcome foreigners into their homes with open arms. It is a land of rivers, so travel along the river to get a feel for the land and spend some time in Khulna to get a completely different perspective. In addition, several passenger and take-off cargo services are offered from Dhakala via Khulna City and Dharamsala to Dhagpur, Dhokha, Chittagong and Dhaka.

Visitors can travel to Khulna, the gateway to the Sundarbans, via Dhakala via Dharamsala to Dhagpur, Dhokha, Chittagong and Dhaka. Different boats can also be brought to different parts of the country, such as Dhangarh, Calcutta, Bhattacharjee and Chhattisgarh through the port city of Dhakhali.

Independent travel in Bangladesh is intense, so you should plan plenty of downtime and plan your way around the city wisely. Traffic in Dhaka is terrible and if you try to get out of the city you will be stuck in traffic for hours, which can mean you never want to leave your hotel again.
